Why Astra ABA exists
Our story
Astra ABA was born where professional experience and personal story meet.
I began my career in 2014 in behavioral health, working with teenagers facing serious mental health and addiction challenges. I saw firsthand what consistent, compassionate care could do – helping young people move from their most difficult moments toward stability and independence. Years later, I found myself drawn back to behavioral health, this time to support children at a stage where the right intervention can shape the rest of their lives.
That mission became deeply personal through my oldest son. From the time he was very young, we were told he was bright, loving, and full of potential – but also that he was struggling and should be evaluated for autism. Like many parents, we resisted at first. Eventually we had him evaluated, and he began receiving services. What followed was an incredible change – not only for him, but for our entire family.

Astra ABA was founded so other families could experience that same hope and possibility. We focus on communities where access is limited – rural areas, Spanish-speaking families, children who might otherwise wait too long for care. Our mission is not simply to provide services, but to provide true care: individualized, compassionate, and built around each child.
